Video Art by Vids Invader
Vids Invader is a video artist whose main goal is to create astonishing psychedelic videos and tie them to his favorite music. He made a cool project with my music. Seven exiting psychedelic video trips that immediately grasp your attention. We called it “Global Nomads” – because of the trippy nature of the psychedelic experience and my own longtime journey in the different parts of the world.
The art of Vids Invader begins where the Whole and the Integrity ends: from many different pieces of various sources found on the web, he creates his own animated canvases. That is a scrupulous process – believe me! All the video samples he borrows are the bricks that Vids Invader uses is his trippy videos – he takes them out from their original context and mixes together with his favorite music and many other samples.
He always try to match all the shots not only to the music but to the other samples as well: atmosphere and dynamics of the shots has to correspond with all other material.
Of course, samples partially lose their original meaning to acquire a different one within a new system of coordinates. Gluing samples occurs on an aesthetic or visual-associative principle and the whole process is a manifest of radical pluralism and ubiquitous diversity of modern times. Pluralism, which grows not from indifference to the original contexts but on the contrary, because of the awareness that various concepts and aesthetics coexist carefree. Moreover, they complement each other. That is what I call postmodern.
